well it was raining almost the entire time i was there, but i went to all the major museums that were open: rijksmuseum (awesome), hermitage (also awesome), van gogh museum (awesome but also very crowded), and the anne frank huis (worth waiting outside in the rain for). the stedelijk was closed sadly :( i also wanted to see the see un chien andalou at the EYE but it was sold out (and my family probably wouldn’t have wanted to go) i mostly just walked around a lot. i felt like it was kind of hard to get lost there. there’s a lot of interesting stores and buildings. i didn’t really trust myself to ride bikes because it’s crazy crowded, but the tram was really good for getting around. also, the botanical garden and zoo were beautiful. the flower market was very nice. i went to see moonrise kingdom at cinecenter and prometheus at the pathe tuschinski and those were both good theaters (but i only did that because moonrise kingdom will never come out in mississippi and our park picnic day/canal tour was rained out) i was only there for four full days so i’m not much help but i hope you have fun!! the lonely planet book on amsterdam is a lot more helpful!! hope the weather is nice c:
